JONAH BIDDICK
Chief Master Sergeant (Ret.)
Air Force Pararescueman | Special Warfare Mentor | Filmmaker
I spent 25 years being the person sent when everyone else had already tried.
When pilots went down. When operators were captured. When the mission was too dangerous for anyone else to take. That was my world. That was my identity.
And then one day — it wasn't anymore
Retirement doesn't come with a manual. Nobody tells you what happens when the thing that defined you for 25 years just... stops. When the uniform comes off and you're standing in your driveway on a Tuesday morning wondering what comes next.
I am still figuring that out. Honestly. Every single day.
But here is what I know: the lessons I learned in those 25 years — about mental fortitude, physical resilience, team over self, purpose over comfort — those don't retire. They compound. They deepen. And they belong to more than just me.
That's why ALIEN CORPS exists

Arctic Operations
—
Somewhere cold enough to remind you you're alive!
Pararescue....the tip of the spear! You go in when everyone else is trying to get out. Seventeen combat deployments - Iraq - Afghanistan - Somalia - Libya Kenya - The Philippines. Places that don't make the news and missions that never will.
Countless joint operations under direct enemy. Real-world hostage reintegrations. A decade-long pursuit of justice for the Embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania that finally ended the right way.
Two Bronze Stars. Five Air Medals. A Navy Presidential Unit Citation. A chest full of ribbons that represent the best and hardest years of my life.
But here is the thing nobody tells you about those decorations: they don't keep you warm at night. They don't tell you who you are when the mission is over. They don't teach you how to be present with your daughter or patient with yourself.
The pipeline builds warriors. It doesn't always build humans.
I want to help build both!

I grew up in this community the hard way!
Leadership in Special Operations isn't a title
It's a daily practice of showing up for the people to your left and right — especially when everything is broken and nothing is going according to plan.
As Squadron Chief at the 724th Special Tactics Group, I led 200 personnel at the Air Force's most sensitive organization. Deployed as Senior Enlisted Advisor to a 240-person Joint Task Force operating across 10 countries. Briefed four-star Generals and Ambassadors. Managed $50 million in assets.
I also built the pipeline that selects and develops the next generation of Tier 1 Special Warfare Operators. Leading the 724 STG's Selection and Training Detachment — 112 personnel across seven Air Force specialty codes; where I developed & instituted a newly conceptualized Assessment & Selection (A&S) process — writing over 20 instructional plans — which increased organizational manning by 25%. I then went on and codified the ten-month Operator Training Course (OTC) spanning 23 training events and nearly 3,000 TDY man-days into a 100-page syllabus that made elite training repeatable and scalable. Additionally, I planned, coordinated, and executed the Air Force Special Warfare Assessment and Selection (SWAS) process from end to end, including all A&S activities during a grueling three-week Special Warfare indoctrination course.
At NASA, I built the first-ever Human Space Flight Rescue Force Instructor/Qualification Course from scratch — 78 pages codifying what it takes to rescue an astronaut — and developed the distance learning infrastructure that impacted over a thousand personnel and saved the DoD nearly three thousand man-hours annually.
None of that is what I'm most proud of.....
What I'm most proud of is the operators, athletes, parents and young adults I watch grow. The candidates I saw go from barely making the IFT to crushing SWAS. The young men & women who showed up scared and left with something unbreakable inside them.
This is the work that matters.
Tandem Bundle Operations
—
600 lbs of equipment that didn't care about my plans!

Here is what I don't talk about enough......Retirement is hard
The transition from operator to civilian is one of the least discussed and most devastating experiences in the veteran community. The identity loss is real. The purpose gap is real. The feeling of standing in a world that doesn't quite understand the language you speak — that's real too.
I got lucky. I had a family that kept me grounded. A wife who held the line when I was still figuring out how to come home. A daughter who reminded me every single day what actually matters.
And I rediscovered my first love.....the ocean
There is something about surfing that defies explanation to people who haven't felt it. The ocean doesn't care about your rank, your deployments, your Bronze Stars, or your bad days. It just asks one thing of you: Be Present - Right Now - This Wave - Nothing Else.
That's been my greatest teacher in retirement.
Presence over performance
Grace alongside grit
The mission — and the person behind it

Art & Healing.....The Filmmaker
In 2022 I enrolled at Full Sail University to study Digital Cinematography.
I had no idea what I was doing. I was 47 years old surrounded by 20-year-olds who grew up with cameras in their hands. I was starting from zero in a completely new discipline.
I graduated Valedictorian - July 2025
Not because I was the most talented filmmaker in the room — I wasn't. But because I showed up every single day and refused to quit. Turns out that's a transferable skill.
Filmmaking gave me something I didn't know I was missing: a language for the things that are hard to say out loud. The weight of service. The beauty of coming home. The quiet miracle of an ordinary Tuesday with your family.
I built ALIEN CORPS because I needed it
Because I was the person with 25 years of elite performance experience who still needed a community, a framework, and a reminder that excellence and humanity are not opposites.
Because I kept meeting operators, athletes, leaders, parents and young adults who were chasing the same thing — peak performance without losing the people they love. Resilience without sacrificing presence. Purpose without burning everything else down to find it.
We are all figuring this out together
That's not a weakness. That's the whole point
